Sigrid, Welcome to Brooklyn Art Project.
I am a stand-up comic and since I joined this network, I have found that this is a great site to share your Art, post your Blogs, upload clips, photos, joining Groups and Forums. I hope you enjoy Brooklyn Art Project as much as I do. The best way to keep up with my daily high jinkery is on Twitter, my user name is: http://twitter.com/JaneyGodley
Best wishes from Janey Godley & Team!
Dear Sigrid,
This is Brooklyn’s greatest public artwork. Few are aware it exists. It is threatened.

The Empire State Building is framed inside and bisects the arch in Grand Army Plaza.
It was built on the 1867 framework designed by artists Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux.
They knew that social reform in America could be achieved through art.

Protecting this continuing work-in-progress is something today’s artists might appreciate.
I created the “Grand Army Plaza” group here at Brooklyn Arts Project, hoping to find more ideas on how to raise public awareness and save this unknown and historic visual alignment.
Please forward the links to friends, artists, bloggers, politicos, media and civilians.
Welcome, Richard
