Which of the following best describe you?
Painter, Professional Creative, Art Enthusiast, Curator
How often are you the first among your friends to try something new?
Very often
What do you want people to know most about you?
I love to create contemporary mixed media paintings full of mystery. I also enjoy seeing a lot of work online from international artists. Organizing group exhibitions with other innovative artists is an activity I've found to be very rewarding. I served as curator of the 2009 'Natural Selection' show at gallery in Durham, NC featuring fibers, rusted metals, burlap and even a few parched white bones in my own work. Natural Selection 2.0 took place Feb/Mar 2011 at Dakota State University in Madison, SD with artists from around the country (Phoenix, Brooklyn, Washington, Philadelphia, etc) & Platon Hadjimichalis of Brussels, Belgium.

I launched early in 2010. Facebook though is the best way to stay abreast of my art projects. I also wrote about NC art in Arts Alive magazine for many years before its demise in 2011. My work is listed in the Sandler File at from NYC.

I plan to stay active in the Richmond, VA & Washington, DC art scenes and in my home state of NC in Charlotte plus at & I will continue to show nationally in cities from Miami to Boston as much as is practically possible. Next up is a solo show at the Contemporary Art Fair 2012 NYC at the Jacob Javits Center OCT 19-21. In November 2012 I'll have work in the two person show 'Captured Transience' at the Trestle Gallery at the the Brooklyn Art Space facility.

I had a large solo show which closed March 20, 2011 at followed by my NYC debut at John Kuchera's New American Art Studio near Coumbia University in April. I ended my busiest year ever with solo shows at UNC-Charlotte then with one at St. Thomas University in Miami. Hopefully 2011 will not go down as the year in which I died of exhaustion!
