Brooklyn Art Project

This is a stop-motion animation video I made out of clay creatures I created. The creatures were modeled off of cancer cells. Each "spore" creature was sculpted using sculptey clay, oven baked, and spray-painted.

I made this video as an experimentation in stop-motion animation, and also to educate myself on how cancer behaves. Although the illness has no direct correlation with this playful video, it serves as a building block for me to study the disease in order to create more informed pieces on the subject.

This piece is so much fun! What an interesting way to approach a subject as serious as cancer. Did you ever create any "more informed pieces?" I'd love to see how they evolved based on this. :)
