"Crybaby" is an audio-video series that examines the culture of crying: the individual/private relationship to crying, the social/public dynamics of crying, and crying as a device in modern media, specifically film. Stripping out all narrative cues and using a variety of original and donated music scores, the video series parallels crying and filmmaking as both singularly genuine acts as well as subversively manipulative devices.
