Opening tonight at my studio/co-op in San Marcos Texas:
F8TL Studio is proud to present the second edition of our "Friends of F8TL" invitational show, "Friends of F8TL 2".
See the mind bending, polychromatic art of Topher Sipes, Claude Dylan Ramey, Doug Pollard, Aldon Mines, Shannon Gowen, Evan Hublein, and featuring Special Guest Johnny Villareal and his Imagination Station!
The show starts at 6:00 PM and ends at midnight. There will be beer and refreshments. The gallery will also be open on Sunday, June 28, from noon til 4:00 or so and also by appointment.
thanks for your comments. i agree with them totally.
yes, these thingies are charcoal and oil on paper... if you are going to do oil on paper for the first time, i would say its fun. i also tried mixing oil colour with varnish and it kinda 'reflects' depending on the paper you use. coated paper reacts differently than the uncoated ones... you will be surprised what paper can offer... just let it go...
Ciao Diane!
Your work is very intense.
At every look I think to see recognizable shapes but when I try to outline the contours they dissolve immediately.
A good way to represent kaos & order! Brava
