No, it is not, what I understand from Kalamkari, done with a pen. My work is done with a zero number paint brush, still cut in half. I got the inspiration for this canvas from my pen drawings, in chinese ink on paper, that I made earlier. I always wanted to enlarge my pen drawings on a bigger scale but did not know how to go about it, till I discovered, after a long time, stupid enough, that I could simply sit on the canvas and paint almost in the same way as drawing with a pen.
