The artist shown above is someone I've known all my life. He was a boxer in the Golden Gloves as a skinny kid from Brooklyn. He was my hero as a NYC Detective, on the force for over 20 years. He was my teacher when he fixed everything around the house with Macgyver-like innovation. He was my inspiration when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and fought back through his art and writing.
He is my father, and I'm proud to be his son. Even though I'm traveling halfway around the world these days, he continues to inspire me every day with his creativity, his humor, and his strength.
Happy Fathers Day Dad. :)
Wish I was there with you and the rest of the family,
Anthony
