gentrification series: camarón que se duerme se lo lleva la corriente or all things are what they seem to be 3

The changing face of Harlem has caused a gunless war to brew, with the ammunition being dollars and cents. This pocket of Manhattan is currently a living parallel to the adage, “history is bound to repeat itself”. Those with affluence and power find that they desire what their forbearers had discarded as unneeded. With new lines of worth redrawn, we find the Blacks and Latinos of Harlem having their land traded for the proverbial beads and blankets; and then expulsed. What happens next?
