hey all, can anyone recommend a moderately priced white oil paint? i just got some gamblin zinc and titanium and the stuff is as opaque as cellophane. thanks jennie

There is a very easy and cheap way to make your own white oil paint.
The recipe is:
85% Lithopone, this is an inexpensive white powder used by house painters
15% Titanium dioxide, this is what makes it really opaque, but don´t use too much,
otherwise it will develop a sticky consistency.
Use as much Linseed oil as it takes to make it nice and creamy, add the oil little by little, using patience to make it smooth.
You will be delighted, and the price is really cheap!
