Galleries in NY?

Hey guys!
I am thinking about contacting a few galleries in New York to see if there is any interrest in my work over there (Im from Denmark).
The thing is that i only know the like MAJOR Galleries... so i was thinking if any of you guys could tell me about a few galleries?!
The Galleries has to be "interrested" in modern contemporary art, and they have to be serious galleries! not just small underground places... if you know any, please tell me about them and please include a link if possible!
