Brooklyn Art Project

What have you seen, heard thought about or dreamed about lately that sticks in your mind? It can be anything, art comes from anywhere :)

For me it's been art from Singapore. I'm currently a long ways away from Brooklyn, traveling through South East Asia to grow BAP on this side of the world and I'm mesmerized by all the work coming out of this area, especially Singapore.

We've got some talented artists from the area as BAP members and the emerging art scene there is really taking off. Here are some pics and links

The desire to see art inspires me.

The weather...it seems ..difficult...trees are making, noise and moving too much..the ground hard...I am thinking in muted colours dove grey/blues and chalky reds - but I am in fact creating with bright reds and strong blacks -- I won't let the weather enter and take over.

colors. everything with color. it must be unbelievably inspirational to be in Singapore and witness the striking reds and greens, gold and WOW! there is something hypnotizing about bold colors in general. I don't know if anyone else have witnessed this, but color smells of something artistic. that's what keeps me working.

Lately, inspiration as come to me right before I fall asleep in the form of "mini dreams". I'm not quite awake nor asleep and whatever I was thinking about during the day begins to form an image. Often, it is based on interactions I have had with others during the course of the day.

I've been inspired by alot of street art lately. the scenes kinda brand new out here with the stencils and wheatpasting but there a couple artist out here really going at it like wheatpeace is killing out here right now serch is too. So that inspires me to keep going and pave a road for other artist that will be interested in wheatpasting in the future. Right now i look at alotta street art from over seas like edgar muellar, C215, spaceinvader,Dan Wits and Revs both from NY and some unknown artist from brazil are really tryin new things with graff art. theres videos of C215 and Dan wits on my blog
