BKLYN 111 Exhibition part of the A.G.A.S.T. Tour - Purchase a Ticket,Support a Great Cause, and Get Art!
In anticipation of Brooklyn’s 111th year as a New York City Borough, The BAG Fund presents BKLYN:111: an exhibition, a fundraising event, a dialogue about our urban space both as environment and as a participant in the creative process.
BKLYN:111 opens October 18th with a FREE reception during the AGAST Studio Tour and closes in grand fashion on October 25 with a party called "Everybody Gets Art" from 6pm on.
At the "Everybody Gets Art" party:
• 110 works of art on the wall from 65 artists.
• 110 ticket holders.
• When a ticket holder's number is called, they have 11 seconds to find the work of art they want and take it off the wall.
• Party!
All the works of art are worth more than the ticket price of $200! Filming the art frenzy is the 111th work of art. Collectors meet the artists and artists meet the collectors. And all of the proceeds go to The BAG Fund. You can preview the art in the show by clicking here2, or by coming to the BAG Gallery during the week of Oct. 18.
Tickets to get art: $200.
General admission: FREE.
The BAG Fund mission is to help support the creative process by providing artists with studio space and technical support at critical points in their life cycle. We give scholarships to Single-Parent Artists and talented High School Artists for studio space at Brooklyn Artists Gym. We also help families with the work left behind by an artist who passes away through our Estate Art Program. Find out more at bagfund.org.
